pH Regulator

Acidic water is water whose pH level is below 7. To raise or increase the pH of a pool towards 7.2 to 7.6, many alkaline agents can be used. However, in powder form, sodium carbonate is most commonly found, and in liquid form, a caustic soda solution. To help better regulate the pH, it will be necessary to check that the TAC (total alkalinity) is correct; if it is not, a treatment such as sodium bicarbonate (sodium hydrogen carbonate) can be added.

The pH of a pool or spa must be between 7.2 and 7.4. If the pH measurement of the pool water (using a probe, test strips, etc.) does not fall within these values, regulation must be applied. When the pH is below 7, you should use pH Plus liquid or pH Plus powder according to your preference. When the pH is above 8, it must be lowered with pH Minus liquid or pH Minus powder. There are devices that allow automatic regulation of the pH in pools or spas. Consisting of a probe or an analysis chamber, automatic regulators monitor the pool water. If the level is incorrect, the pH level is then adjusted using a dosing pump. It is possible to add a salt electrolyzer or a chlorine pump to the regulator. Generally, liquid products are most often used with dosing pumps that regulate pH automatically. Powder products are used directly in pools to act faster and more effectively.
