What types of soiling can I clean with an aluminum degreaser?

Each of our degreasers for aluminum surfaces has its specialty: - DEGREASER 111 M : Whole or soluble oil, Ink - DEGREASER 245 GL : Thick and heavy grease - DEGREASER 205 C : Grease, Bitumen, Tar - DEGREASER 245 P : Paraffin. Which degreasers are not compatible with aluminum?

Aluminum is an alloy that does not tolerate highly alkaline (high-pH) or highly acidic products well. The use of mild cleaning products prevents deterioration of the metal. We manufacture products such as solvents and acids that remove soils while preserving the aluminum. Find our degreasers on this page.

Which degreaser should be used for aluminum?

As a general rule, highly alkaline products should be avoided on aluminum, as these products quickly attack this type of material. To clean aluminum, we recommend solvents or mild acids depending on the soils to be removed. On this page we offer cleaners suited to the maintenance of this metal.

What are the application methods for an aluminum degreaser?

Each aluminum cleaner has its own characteristics, for example a shorter or longer evaporation time. This allows for excellent adaptation to the substrate and greater effectiveness on the soils to be removed. Can I apply a degreaser to oxidized aluminum?

Although aluminum is considered rust-proof, white corrosion can appear over time. These areas must be degreased and then treated with a rust converter METALPRO and a phosphating degreaser ARCANE 620. Contact our technical department for more information.
