What is an adhesion promoter used for?

An adhesion promoter improves the adhesion between two materials, often of different natures. For example, the adhesion of paint (organic in nature) onto a plastic or metal surface (inorganic) may require the use of an adhesion promoter to improve paint adhesion. This treatment creates strong chemical bonds between materials of different natures. An adhesion promoter thus improves the durability of paints (mechanical and chemical resistance). How should an adhesion promoter be used?

An adhesion promoter enhances the adhesion of a paint or adhesive to a surface. This product is applied very simply using a sprayer or a cloth.

Adhesion promoters improve the properties of paints (polyurethane, epoxy...), adhesives, and sealants, depending on the substrate (metal, plastic...).
