What are the uses of anti-corrosion additives?

Anti-corrosion additives are products that complement another chemical product, in minute quantities. They help prevent the appearance of corrosion on metal parts that may rust on contact with the chemical product. We offer various products for different applications, such as additives for immersion baths and spray washing machines, as well as additives specially designed for acidic solutions, and products for pressure testing of tanks and cylinders. Find our anti-corrosion protections on this page.

What is the difference between rust and corrosion?

Rust is a corrosion phenomenon. Corrosion refers to the degradation of a material through chemical reaction with an oxidising agent. Rust is the corrosion phenomenon of ferrous metals, which forms orange-coloured iron oxide. We offer numerous anti-corrosion additives for a wide range of applications. They notably help prevent flash rusting. If you cannot find the product that suits you, contact us. We will work together to find a solution to your issue.

Which anti-corrosion product should you choose?

For hydrochloric acid baths and sulfuric acid baths, use AC PROTECT 106. It protects metals in acidic environments. It is used for descaling boilers and radiator cooling circuits. In ultrasonic tanks or in alkaline degreasing, use AC PROTECT 102. It prevents the flash rusting phenomenon. For hydraulic pressure testing, particularly for oil and gas tanks, or for vessels and cylinders, use AC PROTECT 101 or AC PROTECT 130.
