What is a cleaning thinner?

A cleaning thinner is a product used to remove paint. It is used for cleaning tools (brush, paint spray gun, circulating). On the market, there are two types of thinners: universal thinners, also called mixed or cellulosic, and "clean" thinners. The former come from paint regeneration and may contain xylene and toluene, substances classified as CMR. The latter are manufactured from new, non-CMR raw materials, and are therefore much better for human beings. The product we have developed for cleaning painting tools, ARCANE 146, is non-harmful and non-toxic, and promotes the safety of your employees. Visit this page to discover all our products.

Where to use a cleaning thinner?

You can use this product as a paint cleaner for cars, motorcycles and bodywork, in the railway sector and in industries in general. You can also use it to prepare primer, or to strip paints, resins, and adhesives. In the wood industry, it is used for varnishes and wood saturators. Be careful when using it on plastic materials: some may be incompatible with our products. We offer our dilution solutions in various packaging: 5-liter, 20-liter cans, and 200-liter drums. Which thinner for which use?

Use the White Spirit substitute for the removal of grease, oils, inks, paints, resins, varnishes. Also choose the polyester resin cleaning solvent or the vinylester and acrylic resin cleaner. You can also opt for a universal paint stripper. Find all these products on this page.
