Which herbicide should you choose for organic farming?
The white vinegar, diluted to 10° is the preferred product for organic farming. Based on naturally fermented acetic acid, it is entirely biodegradable. It acts on contact, burning the leaves of weeds. It has recognized fungicidal and bactericidal action, and is harmless to humans (it is the same vinegar used in food). It is used, among other things, for cereals, grasses, and aromatic plants. It is suitable for maintaining gardening equipment. Find our alcohol vinegars on this page. You might also be interested in sodium bicarbonate.
Why use an agricultural herbicide?
An agricultural herbicide eliminates weeds (unwanted plants) in horticulture and agriculture. It enables a faster chemical action than manual weeding, which is impossible in large-scale crops. In the agricultural field, undesirable products are legion, like glyphosate. Since its founding in 1995, Arcane Industries has been committed to finding alternatives to harmful products. Our solutions are in line with respect for the health of users and the environment, for the preservation of plant and animal species. Find our products on this page.
How do you apply an agricultural herbicide?
Use a sprayer, dilute the correct dose of product, then apply the liquid solution to the plants to be eliminated by foliar application (directly onto the leaves). Leave to act until the desired result is obtained. The treatment can be repeated at the beginning of winter and in spring.
Can I use acetic acid as an organic herbicide?
Acetic acid is a synthetic substance that is not permitted in organic farming because, unlike vinegar, it is not obtained through the biological double fermentation process. For organic farming, use 10° vinegar, recognized as a basic substance by the European Union and as an effective herbicide. Find this product on this page.
Which vinegar should be chosen as an agricultural herbicide?
You can use 10° vinegar for ready-to-use applications. This dilution is suitable for use in organic farming. It is also possible to obtain 14° wine vinegar, then dilute it to achieve the desired concentration for your application. Please note that the terms white vinegar, spirit vinegar, household vinegar, and crystal vinegar all refer to the same product. Contact our technicians for more information.
