Acetic acid 80% - ethanoic acid
Product Summary
Acetic acid, ethanoic acid, or glacial acetic acid (CAS 64-19-7) is a natural carboxylic acid that is particularly known for its concentrated presence in vinegars. It is a colorless liquid obtained either by biotransformation from beet sugar or alcohol, but it is also produced synthetically by carbonylation of methanol with carbon monoxide (CH3OH + CO → CH3COOH). It crystallizes easily at low temperatures. In humans, it is present in sweat and blood; in plants, it is found in sap.
High concentration acetic acid 80% is available in 20-liter containers.
