Oxalic acid, salt of sorrel
Oxalic acid (ethanedioic acid, formerly called salt of sorrel) is a chemical naturally present in nature in the form of potassium oxalate, for example in sorrel or rhubarb. In the human body, these minerals help fix calcium. Excessive ingestion of foods rich in oxalic acid can lead to kidney stones.
Oxalic acid appears as a white powder, composed of colorless crystals. We offer it in dihydrate form in 25 kg packaging, for professional use.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Oxalic acid is primarily used as a bleaching agent and mordant for dyes. It is also widely used by beekeepers in the fight against varroa. Wood professionals use it as a wood brightener.
