Butoxyethanol is a glycol ether obtained by adding butyl alcohol to ethylene oxide. The majority of its production is used in the manufacture of paints and coatings.
This oxygenated solvent appears as a clear liquid with an ether odor. It is an analog of PnB solvent and a more volatile version than Butyl Diglycol.
We offer butoxyethanol for sale to professionals in 20-liter cans, 200-liter drums, and 1000-liter IBCs.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
It is primarily used as a solvent in paints but also in detergents. It is valued for its low volatility, allowing extended drying times for paints.
