Butoxyethanol is a glycol ether obtained by the addition of butyl alcohol to ethylene oxide. The majority of its production is used in the manufacture of paints and coatings.
This oxygenated solvent appears as a clear liquid with an ether-like odor. It is an analog of the PnB solvent and a more volatile version than Butyl Diglycol.
We offer butoxyethanol for sale, intended for professionals, in 20-liter cans, 200-liter drums, and 1000-liter IBCs.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
It is primarily used as a solvent in paints but also in detergents. It is valued for its low volatility, as it allows extending the drying time of paints.
