DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL (DPG) is a synthetic organic solvent, in the form of an isomer mixture belonging to the glycol family. It is transparent and colorless with slow evaporation, nearly odorless, hygroscopic, miscible with water and most organic solvents. Its properties make it a highly valued solvent for applications in cosmetics, flavors, and fragrances.
In cosmetic and fragrance applications, it solubilizes, readjusts viscosity, and fixes/carries fragrances. Its solvent power with alcohols and essential oils allows it to resolve compatibility issues. It is widely used in ambient fragrances.
It is also used as a moisturizer/humectant in many cosmetic applications.
It is also found in hydraulic oils, as plasticizers, reaction intermediates, and in the manufacture of polyester and alkyd resins.
We offer it for sale, exclusively to professionals, in various packaging formats: 20-liter jerrycan, 200-liter drum, 1000-liter IBC.
