DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL (DPG) is a synthetic organic solvent, in the form of a mixture of isomers from the glycol family. It is transparent and colorless with slow evaporation, virtually odorless, hygroscopic, miscible with water and most organic solvents. Its properties make it a highly valued solvent for applications in cosmetics, flavors and fragrances.
In cosmetic and fragrance applications, it allows solubilization, viscosity adjustment and fixation/carrying of fragrances. Its solvent power with alcohols and essential oils enables it to resolve compatibility issues. It is widely used in ambient fragrances.
It is also used as a moisturizer/humectant in many cosmetic applications.
It is also found in hydraulic oils, as plasticizers, reaction intermediates and in the manufacture of polyester and alkyd resins.
We offer it for sale, exclusively for professionals, in various packaging: 20-liter can, 200-liter drum, 1000-liter IBC container.
