Isopropylidene Glycerol: a modern, stable, and low-volatility solvent
AUGEO CLEAN MULTI (Isopropylidene Glycerol) is a colorless, clear, non-corrosive liquid with low volatility, low toxicity, and a mild odor. This organic solvent is highly compatible and miscible with organic solvents in general and with water.
AUGEO CLEAN MULTI is a ketal and exhibits high stability at neutral and alkaline pH, independent of the working temperature. However, it cannot be handled in acidic process steps and/or at a final acidic pH in the presence of water, as the product will undergo inversion.
AUGEO CLEAN MULTI is a partially bio-based solvent (67%), making it a modern solvent with a lower environmental impact, capable of substituting many fossil-derived molecules.
AUGEO CLEAN MULTI is a renewable-source solvent developed for the institutional, domestic, and industrial detergency (surface care) sector, with main applications including multi-purpose cleaners, waxes, wax strippers, degreasers, glass cleaners, and specialty cleaners. It is also used as a diluent and solvent for fragrances and in the cosmetics (personal care) segment.
This solvent complies with the European ECOLABEL for detergent products.
