Product Summary
Brown corundum (sand) extremely fine grade 0.090 to 0.125 mm type F120: added to paints or resins provides an anti-slip finish. It should be added directly into the liquid product and mixed thoroughly, or sprinkled on. In the latter case, it is important to immediately pass a roller over it to distribute it evenly and ensure the grain is well coated with product.
Packaged in France at our Arcane Industries factory.
White corundum results from the fusion at over 2000°C, in an electric arc furnace, of bauxite and high-purity alumina. The high titanium oxide content (TiO2) gives it great strength and allows excellent recycling. White corundum is an aluminium oxide that offers complete chemical neutrality.
It can therefore be used as blasting media for sandblasting, corundum blasting or micro-blasting operations on aluminium parts. Its low density makes it suitable for treating thin sheet metal without deformation, as it can be projected at low pressure.
