Description

METALPRO is a professional liquid rust converter, designed to effectively treat oxidized ferrous metal surfaces. Thanks to its rapid chemical reaction, it transforms rust into a hard, stable, protective black layer that prevents the spread of corrosion. Suitable for indoor and outdoor environments, it can be applied on rusted, damp, new or partially painted substrates, and can be overcoated with most building anti-rust paints. Its excellent fluidity allows for homogeneous application by spray gun or brush, even on complex surfaces.

APPLICATION

Application procedure:

• Surface preparation:
  • Degrease and remove dust
  • In case of rust, remove loose areas by brushing or sanding
• Application setup:
  • Shake the product well before use
  • Use undiluted – pour into a non-metallic container
• Application:
  • 1 coat on new or non-oxidized steel
  • 2 coats on partially rusted substrate – wait 1 hour between coats
  • Outdoors: overcoat with paint after 24 hours drying time
  • Application methods: brush, roller, spray gun, sprayer, dipping
• Cleanup: With water, immediately after application

COVERAGE

• 6 to 12 m²/L/coat depending on substrate condition
• Can be diluted up to 10% water by mass if necessary
