A compressed-air drying system that uses the spray nozzles speeds up the drying of parts directly inside the rotary parts washer after the wash cycle.
The system uses the machine’s existing spray nozzles to direct compressed air onto the parts. This removes some of the residual water left on the surfaces after washing and rinsing, without requiring any additional handling of the parts.
The system is compatible with the following models:
- ROTARY WASHER 730
- ROTARY WASHER 870
- ROTARY WASHER 1130
- ROTARY WASHER 1460
- ROTARY WASHER 1800
How it works
At the end of the wash cycle, water may remain on the parts, particularly as droplets or in areas where it cannot drain away easily on its own.
The drying system then uses the washer’s spray circuit to send compressed air through the nozzles.
During operation:
- The wash or rinse cycle ends.
- The liquid supply to the spray nozzles is shut off.
- Compressed air is fed into the spray circuit.
- Air flows through the various nozzles and is directed toward the parts.
- The airflow blows droplets and residual moisture off the surfaces.
- The parts are therefore drier at the end of the cycle.
Simplified diagram
End of wash cycle → compressed air supply → spray nozzles → air blown over parts → residual water removal → drying
This system primarily reduces residual moisture on the parts after washing and speeds up drying before subsequent operations.
Using the spray nozzles already installed in the washer distributes the airflow throughout the wash area and dries the parts directly inside the machine.
Drying effectiveness depends in particular on the available air pressure and flow rate, the shape of the parts, their positioning in the washer, and the amount of residual water to be removed.
