Caustic Potash EcoCert Flakes 90% - Technical Grade - CAS 1310-58-3

Caustic potash, or potassium hydroxide (molecular formula KOH), is a corrosive alkaline agent known as a strong base. It is a chemical reagent widely used in chemistry. It can be sold in liquid or solid form (flakes or powder). The term potash is often mistakenly used to refer to a source of potassium (e.g., potassium chloride salt KCl, carbonate K2CO3...). It is produced by electrolysis of aqueous solutions of potassium salts (notably KCl). The primary use is the production of potassium carbonate through carbonation of the potash.

We offer caustic potash (potassium hydroxide) in 25 kg bags, in the form of soluble flakes, exclusively for professional use.

This product is available in technical grade and food grade. Contact us for the second option.

Do not confuse this product with caustic soda, potash lye, or potassium carbonate.

USAGE TIPS

Caution: caustic potash can be corrosive to metals and glass.

When mixing potash with water, an exothermic reaction may occur, generating heat and splashing.
