L'Amino Tri(MethylenePhosphonic) Acid in 50% solution, more commonly known as ATMP, is a phosphonic acid with versatile sequestering / complexing / chelating properties, usable in many applications like EDTA-4Na. It can be used as an inhibiting agent for mineral salt deposition (scale). It is considered more effective than polyphosphates for this application at low dosage.
It is a stable product, water-soluble, and capable of chelating many metallic ions.

- Detergents and soaps (hardness control, stabilizer)
- Water treatment and scale inhibitor.
- Steam generator treatment)
- Oil industry (anti-scale)
- Paper industry (bleach stabilizer)
- Textile industry (peroxide stabilizer)
- Corrosion inhibitor with zinc and phosphate.
